Ughh. It has been almost FOUR months since I posted, how sad is that?

Either way, journal is getting a revamp. New layout, with a new header by me (featuring the cast of The Big Bang Theory, epic show, check it out!) I love the header cause it feels so arty and cool

Luckily (Y/N?) I will be on a LOT more, as I don't have school this year; AND, I am potentially taking Graphic Design in college so I will be working on items for a portfolio which will likely be scrutinised by everyone here at one point or another =D

Case in point: Potential poster for a Hallowe'en event at the local college.

Okay so clearly it's been ages since I've been on.
My laptop cord decided to crap out on me ~~for the 0347234720 time~~ again so I'm on my boyfriend's computer....

On which he has so kindly let me install the Sims 2 ^.^ (IMO, currently MUCH better than the sims 3- when people start making CC, I will be interested again).

Sooo I'm starting to think about doing some kind of story thing as it's summer and I'm bored. But either way here's a list of Sims 2 resources

Yeah so I haven't posted in aaaaaaages. Like, almost 5 months. Wow. Time for an updaaaaaaaaate. =)

I'm living with my boyfriend now, my mom kicked me out. The school year is almost over for me (I'm done May 21st) so I'm looking for a job, since I'll be taking a year off before university.

I just installed Photoshop CS4 and having lots of fun messing with it... expect some new graphics soon... finally, it's been ages since I posted any here!

Uhmm other than that... I'm in the middle of writing my IB exams right now.

So we lost power last night at about 1am. and it only came on a few hours ago, around 830 PM. *sigh* storms suck; one of the trees in our driveway blew over and fell on one of our cars, but luckily just the top hti the car and there's not much damage. Basically it's just been freezing cold all day and towards the end of the day we were sitting around with only candles providing light, haha

Monday:
Today what made me happy was beating my sister twice at Scrabble, once at Trouble(omg anyone remember that game? xD), once at Trivial Pursuit, and once at Boardwalk. lmao.

Saturday:
Playing Rock Band and Guitar Hero made me very happy... because I got 100% singing Maps by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on hard, and I actually didn't fail out of playing guitar on medium =D This is a big deal, haha.

Sunday:
Having brunch with a big crowd of friends at my friend's birthday party. Mmm. Waffles, bacon, ham, fruit, chocolate sauce... mmmm. xD

Friday the 19th
I went Christmas shopping today =D and got presents for my mom & dad (matching candle holders with Santa and snowmen), sister (a poster with a bunch of guitar chords), my friend Vee (a teddy bear that glows xD) and half of my boyfriend's present (this awesome little lingerie thing...I'll take a pic of it sometime). I love shopping for presents for other people... and then I wrapped them all today too. They look awesome if I do say so myself!

And since I basically don't know 8 people... whoever wants to do this, can xD

So we just got progress reports back. *IS PSYCHED* I managed to bring my cumulative score up 8 points, so now I have a 30 =)

For those not familiar with the IB marking scheme, you take 6 courses that are marked out of 7 points each.

They say your life flashes before your eyes when you die. Well, I wasn’t dying, not really, but all the things that I had gone through in my life- or at least, the bad things- were dredging themselves up from my memory as I stared down at my lifeless body.

I used to think that I no longer had a soul, being a vampire…but now I know better. Now I know what it feels like to have your soul ripped to shreds. It feels like the most essential part of me was slowly breaking apart into tiny pieces that can never, never be put back the way they were.

That is how I felt earlier when Beth, my Beth, was taken and I could do nothing to save her. Like my world was being blown apart.

I used to think that if I had the chance to be human, I would take it in a second. I had the chance, and I took it. I used to think that if I could be human I would never want to be a vampire again. I got to eat again, drink orange juice, go to the beach with Beth without being afraid I would die from the exposure. I got to feel blood flowing through my veins.

But, lo and behold, here I stand. My blood no longer flows, my heart no longer beats. Medically, I am dead- but not really. The monster lives, but he no longer thinks he is a monster. If this experience has taught me anything, it is that Beth was right- that I have a soul. I am not cursed. I have a soul, and it belongs to her.

Her face was so pale it almost blended in with the pillow, her hair fanned out gently behind her in golden waves. Beth was silent, her chest barely moving as she slept, as she breathed ever more slowly, her life leaving her body watched over by two very solemn vampires.

Or rather, by one very solemn vampire; the other was far too nervous to be solemn, and had not stopped pacing since the whole ordeal had begun. He was circling the room over and over, wringing his hands as if to wipe away the feel of Beth’s lips on his wrist, taking the blood that would make her like him- a devil.

“Mick, calm down,” Josef told him patiently for what must have been the twentieth time. “This is normal, if you recall. She won’t wake up for about an hour; you should go get a drink so you have the strength you’ll need to keep up with a fledgling.”

Mick wheeled around and stared at Josef. “Calm down? This is just about on the same level of stress as getting married and having your first child, combined, and you want me to calm down?”

Josef chuckled. He did not remember himself being this agitated when he had turned Sarah, but then of course he could be biased in his memories.

Mick finally sat down about ten minutes later, and they remained there, staring silently. Eventually, Josef glanced at his watch. “Alright, Mickey my boy, as a concerned party I will go and find some blood for you and your soon-to-be little vampire. You just be good now, don’t wear a hole in the floor, Beth would kill you.” With that he stood and strode from the room. Almost immediately Mick rose and moved over to sit on the bed. He lifted Beth’s hand gently and smiled when her fingers curled slightly around his.

Two weeks ago…

“Mick… there’s something I need to tell you.” He raised an eyebrow.

“Alright, go ahead babe.”

“Well… my doctor called last night. He said…he said I probably have cancer.” Beth’s eyes were filled with tears. “That pain I’ve been having is from a tumor in my side… he says I might die.” She threw herself into Mick’s arms and sobbed into his shoulder. Mick stared at the wall, in shock. Beth…his Beth, his angel…might be dying. His arms tightened around her slim frame.

“I won’t let you die, Beth,” he whispered in her ear, realizing as he said it the implications. She lifted her head and looked into her eyes.

“I hope you mean what I think you mean,” she said, drawing a shaky breath. “I know you think… that you’d be dooming me. And that I’d be some sort of monster like you always call yourself. But Mick… even if it were true, even if I honestly believed that becoming a vampire would damn my soul, I’d rather damn myself to be with you than die this way, right now.” Their eyes locked and right then, he knew that he would save her; all his morals were gone, right out the window when she said she needed him.

Beth stirred under the sheet and her eyelids fluttered gently. Mick gripped her hand as she came out of her slumber.

“I look that horrible, huh?” she asked, her voice soft.

“You don’t look horrible at all,” he whispered back. “Why would you think that?”

“Just the way you’re looking at me,” she said with a chuckle. “You’re waiting for me to be some kind of demon.”

And honestly- he was. He was watching so carefully for even the slightest sign that this Beth, the vampire Beth, was not his Beth anymore. But nothing had changed- nothing essential, at least. Her skin was paler, which made her hair, lips and eyes stand out more; her hair looked more golden, her eyes a lighter, brighter blue. But her wry little smile, the look in her eyes when she looked at him- they were all the same. He smiled at her and reached out to brush her cheek.

“You’re no demon, my beautiful Beth,” he told her. “You’re my angel.”

News, new header, new clothes, & (old) new haircut

Mmk so those of you who know me know that I've been living with my best friend for the past few months because of some issues with my mother. However recently I've been talking to my family again and we're pretty much reconciled.

Now the pissed off part.

My friend is pretty much controlling as it is but it's gotten worse since I've been living at her house. Most of the time I can just ignore her but it's gotten bad... she hates my boyfriend and told her dad stuff so that I wouldn't be allowed to go see him, and every little thing I do that she doesn't like gets me in trouble. So now that I'm moving back in with my family, there's a whole bunch of more issues arising.

Firstly she's been accusing me of going behind her back even though when she first "found out" that I was moving back in, I hadn't even seen my mom yet! And now her thing is that since I've been telling "everyone" (the grand total of maybe 5 people that I talk to on a daily basis?) that I'm moving back in with my parents, SHE will be packing my stuff up for me to take with me this weekend, and that she will withhold part of it until I pay her family the 250$ she thinks I owe them...anyways. Yeah. I've stopped thinking about it. Happy thoughts!

The new header is of The Corpse Bride, featuring lyrics from My Immortal by Evanescence. Amazing movie, amazing song. The header took about 30 minutes total, done on GIMP (naturally).

Soooo Urban Planet(aka my fav store EVER) is currently having this gigantic sale, everything 50% off. Now their prices are already pretty good, so since I adore their clothes my sister and I took advantage of the sale...I think this whole lot cost MAYBE 100$ total. (click for much larger images...)

  Tanks, the 2nd picture is the lace detail... I have 6 of the same tank top in diff colours... the blue and the pink seen above, green, black, white and grey. Yup, I love em haha. They're basically perfect, so I grabbed a bunch while they were on sale for 6$!

Also got 4 pairs of jeans... 2 of the same boot-cut pair with flaps on the back pockets (1 gray 1 blue), 1 pair of straight-leg (blue) and 1 pair of flared (blue). A jacket...it's just a grey peacoat type thing, haha. Also a pair of plain black pants to wear to work. =)

Alrighty so I got my hair cut during the summer when i was living with my best friend for a bit, and I never had a chance to post pictures so... yeah xD it shows in some of the above pictures of course, but here's some more.
    Keeping in mind, of course, that I normally straighten my hair haha. This is called my hair at the end of a rainy day =]

K so at school and bored out of my skulllll. I get to go buy books later though so it's all good =) I found this really awesome series, the House of Night series and I own the first but I'm buying the others tonight, wooooot. They're so awesome.
